2022 Cancellation

Hello All,

It is with a sad heart I write this email. I am cancelling the 2022 Autumn Trail Series. It will be the first time since before 2009 there will not be a Series. You will all receive full refunds, excluding the RunSignup processing fee. If you made a donation, that will be refunded as well.

This year has been a year full of changes. I accepted a position with Twin Cities In Motion as the Event Operations Manager. My mom officially retired from helping with the Series. I tried to find someone to take over or at least direct the races, but did not find anyone who met my expectations. I know how much you all enjoy the Series so I decided to go ahead and figure a way to do it. As preparation for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend ramped up and my mom being irreplaceable, I realized I would not be able to provide the same if not better experience than previously.

Thank you all for your support of the Series over the years. It has been fun putting it on.

Race #4 Information

Hello Runners,

It is Race 4 day! The end to another Series. Here are a few things to know for today.

We encourage all to wear a mask when we are in close quarters pre-race and post race, especially when inside Jan’s Place. There will be hand sanitizer available also.

Packet pickup and parking are back at the Jan’s Place at Edgewood Picnic Area, past the Visitor Center at 10145 Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington.

5:00pm-Check in/bib pick up begins
6:00pm-Open Race begins
7:00pm-Awards & Drawings begin

The weather is forecasted to be cool, rainy and windy for race. It is forecasted that the rain will lighten closer to race time. If need be we will delay the start of the race.

We will have a water stop near the campground. The water stop is sponsored by Steve Smillie, realtor with Edina Realty.

To pick up your packet you will walk up to the picnic tables outside Jan’s Place.

Give the volunteers your last name
They will give you your number, your beer ticket (if an adult) and drawing ticket
Go to the next table to pick up your hoodie if you signed up for the Full Open Series and have not picked it up yet.

We will have Kathie's Coffee on site with some delicious samples both pre race and post race.

Our drawings will feature swag from FITS Socks, a gift certificate for a 1-hour massage at Thrive Chiropractic, and Wooden Hill Brewing crowlers. We will be doing a combination of what we have done in the past with some of the awards drawn during the race and the numbers posted and the beer will be drawn live. We will be awarding the top 3 male and female runners in this race gift certificates to TC Running Company. Overall Series winners will be announced and awarded.

2020 Autumn Trail Series

We are going Virtual!

We are excited to be able to continue the Series even though it is not in its usual form. We understand folks are disappointed, we are too.

It was our goal to have the in-person Series. It looked for for a while, when the Covid numbers were decreasing and the state was opening up more, we would be able to have an in-person Series. We were looking forward to be able to see you all face to face again and provide all the in-person benefits like the post race party. We think though you will enjoy the Series in its new form. Registration will open next week.

Here is an outline of how the Series will work this year:

Registration is only available for the full Series (all 4 races)
You will do all 4 runs on your own schedule between September 2 and October 14
The course will be the Northern loop (course from September 2018 races)*
After each run, you will upload your results using the steps provided in the race communications

Registrants will receive a sweet quarter zip sweatshirt (unisex sizing or woman's cut sizing available, colors subject to change)

*Course will not be marked due to in prior years course signage being destroyed and/or changed. Maps are available here on the website and available as kml file.
